Back-story:

After a trip to the movies, Thomas and Martha Wayne are murdered in front of their 8 year old son Bruce. After this tragic event, Bruce becomes determined to do his part to end crime in Gotham City. Training his physical and mental abilities, Bruce works toward his goal to be a police officer in Gotham. Studying hard and getting straight A's in school, Bruce also studies karate and exercises regularly.

When Bruce turned 18, he received his inheritance and used it to fund his college education. Double majoring in Criminal Justice and Sociology with a minor in Chemistry, Bruce also begins looking over old cases, hoping to get an understanding of the criminal mind. His martial art training continues on the college wrestling team which Bruce shows much promise in. He soon gets a Bachelor of Science degree and continues on to get a Master's in Criminology. Once he completes his education, he continues on toward becoming an officer of the law and applies for a detective position stationed in Gotham at 25.

Within 4 years, Bruce had solved the most cases for a detective of his age. His aggressive acts during interrogations, un-orthodox methods, and somewhat outlandish theories, have led many to refer to him as 'Bats.' Despite this, he is revered as one of the greatest detectives to ever work for Gotham City. Police Commissioner Gordon has been known to look past some of Bruce's more questionable methods. Many believe he is considering a position with the FBI. However, Bruce has found limits to what he is able to do while working with a badge. At age 29, he leaves the force and starts a privet detection agency using more of his inheritance to fund it. A year later, he is regularly hired by the police department as someone who can go where they cannot due to restrictions placed by the judicial system.

Bruce becomes one of the more formidable opponents for Gotham's underworld. His interrogations, determination, and his advanced deduction abilities have led many criminals to fear him and spread word of his acts. The nickname 'Bats' has spread outside the police station and become common use amongst criminals when referring to Bruce.
I have so far thought of three heroes that I could do this for and a few villains. This will hopefully be continued and I will be venturing between the Marvel and DC universes. I can only do characters that I know the back-story, origins, and personality well enough to translate over.
